Revitalizing a historic campus arena through high-performance engineering.
The transformation of the Stott Viking Pavilion modernized a long-standing campus facility to better serve students, athletes, and the broader university community. Through award-winning lighting design and high-performance mechanical engineering, the project enhanced functionality, comfort, and energy efficiency while preserving the Pavilion’s role as a central gathering space. The renovation addressed deferred maintenance throughout the building and introduced a new arena designed to support contemporary athletics and events.
Special Features
- Comprehensive building upgrades, including renovated locker and training rooms, mechanical and sprinkler system improvements, ADA and seismic upgrades, and space consolidation for improved efficiency
- A balance of daylighting and sophisticated electrical lighting control systems helped express the transparency, accessibility, and energy of student academics, fitness, and athletics all in one space.
